1. The Gist

WIPP is a quiet space for creators. We don't sell your data, we don't serve ads, and we don't use algorithms to mine your attention. We only collect what is strictly necessary to run the platform.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Data: When you sign in with Google, we store your email address, display name, and avatar.
  • Content: The images, code, and text you post.
  • Messages: Your chat history. Note: Direct messages are encrypted at rest (stored as scrambled text) in our database to ensure privacy.

3. Third-Party Infrastructure (The Stack)

We do not sell data to advertisers. However, we use trusted infrastructure providers to keep the site running:

  • Supabase: Stores user accounts and public posts.
  • Upstash: Handles real-time chat and messaging.
  • Cloudflare: Hosts the website and delivers content.
  • Google Auth: Used strictly for login verification.

4. A Note on Anonymity

WIPP allows "Anonymous Posting" to help you share rough work without fear.

  • Publicly: Your name is hidden on these posts.
  • Internally: To prevent abuse and toxicity, WIPP administrators can still identify the author of an anonymous post. "Anonymous" implies social privacy, not immunity from moderation.

5. Your Rights

You own your data. If you want to delete your account and all associated posts, you can do so from your Settings page (or contact us if you can't find it).

6. Contact

For questions or data deletion requests, contact us directly via the community platform.
